David Puyanic, Vice President

I graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002 with
a degree in Business Administration and a minor
in History. I continued
my education by gaining acceptance and attending The McComb School of Business where I earned
a Masters in Professional Accounting. I graduated from this program in 2003 with
a 3.93 GPA. The MPA program at the McComb School of Business has been ranked the #1
accounting program in the country by US News and World Reports for the past several
years.
During my sophomore and junior years at The University of Texas at Austin, I worked
as a leasing and sales agent at a local real estate company. I was the #1 real estate
associate at the company and completed over 60 leasing deals and 4 purchase/sale
transactions during my 2 year tenure. In my senior year, I started a real-estate development company that built high-end student housing near campus. I assembled
investors, purchased vacant land, managed a development team of architects and engineers,
oversaw the construction, and operated and leased my projects. The developments
were all very successful and I completed multiple projects before selling the portfolio
and moving back to Miami to join Commodore Realty, Inc.
I joined Commodore Realty, Inc in 2003 as Vice President and have had the honor
of spending the last four years learning the commercial real estate industry from
my father
Max D. Puyanic ,
who is a wonderful teacher and father. I currently run the Accounting department
and the Property Management department, which includes all construction and development
projects. In addition, I work on all acquisitions. I am proud of the changes that
Commodore Realty and all of our properties have under gone over the past several
years which include improved operations, an improved tenant base, significantly
higher rents, and a higher level of excellence and attention to detail. My most
recent accomplishment is the façade remodel of the Sarasota Commons Shopping Center,
which transformed the property into the premier retail center in its trade area.
I encourage you to visit the property page for the
Sarasota Commons
for more information on the remodel. My goal is to continue to work diligently to
improve the lives of our investors, our tenants, our patrons, our purveyors, and
our quality staff. In addition, I will work to find quality assets to acquire so
that we may double the size of our portfolio over the next five years.
During my free time I enjoy all activities related to the ocean, spending time with
family and friends, and traveling. I am fortunate to have visited more than twenty-five
countries in my life and can't wait to experience the many more adventures that
will come.
